Hi Guys,
I have a 2016 GT MT (non PP) and am thinking about doing the Ford Power Pack 2 tune as my first mod to increase HP. I currently drive mine 8 months out of the year (in storage now) and do both in town, hwy and spirited twisty roads. I have not tracked the car or done auto cross, but would like to try both to see if it was something I could get into.
A couple of things I am concerned about:
1. I read a review of the Power Pack 2 where they stated the increased throttle response makes it uncomfortable as a daily driver around town. One writer mentioned it has a tendency to want to lurch more from a stop. Most of the time I have it in Sport mode, but there are a few times where it is nice to drop it into normal so I can be a little more nimble around town. With this mod would normal turn into sport and sport be even more agressive?
2. Should I be looking at other options (ie: CAI and Tune from Bama, etc..) that would be better for a DD
3. I am not sure if I will go the route of a super charger or turbo, but if I were to go that route.. will these mods still stay in place or would I be replacing these items. I know this sounds crazy but would a super charger be more "civilized" in daily driving vs some of the throttle increase tunes?
4. I think the "no lift shift" would be a cool enhancement, not sure if that is available with other perf mods.. it is with this one...
Thanks for the input as always...
