So I finally got what I wanted. Booming bass for Gorilla Zoe and Drake.

I have Shaker system with sub. My radio adjustments are 3/4 high, flat mid, flat bass. Hits as hard as with aftermarket HU. If you are just adding bass, forget getting in the kick panel or flattening signals.

Im too old for pretty. I have the P2 mounted in ported bass bunker box. Rear firing in trunk. LC2i did wonders for roll off. Much more bass and I would have had to start amping front end. Still want to upgrade tweeters and center someday. Pics after I clean up the mess.

I've had that same LC2i in my Amazon cart for about two weeks.

At first, I was planning to install an amp for the Punch 8 that I installed in the stock location. I've decided to leave the Punch 8 with the stock amp and add the Rockford Fosgate P300-12. The enclosure with a single 12" plus 300 watt amp is basically the same price as the amp that I wanted for the 8".

Ok hello everyone, i have a box with 3 10" mtx speakers and a 1000 watt amp i havebin my ranger at the moment but would like to swap to my base 16 mustang. My question is does my stock radio have the rca jacks for a amp hookup? Or would i have to buy a aftermarket head unit?

Where did you pull signal for the LC2i?

I have the factory sub. I unhooked the sub and connected to the wires that were supplying factory sub. Which, in other posts, people said didn't work. I didn't want to pull off of rears, because usually I have them faded out. All can be put back to factory when it's time trade up.

So, Factory sub amp input > LC2 > Amp > External Sub?

Did you remove the factory sub and cabinet? (Picture is gone)
If so, it would seem that the SW Amp is speaker level in - not surprising...
If so, an Audio Control "The Epicenter 600" should drop right in, replacing the factory amp and you could drop in an aftermarket 8" DVC Subwoofer.

I went for easiest, no damage connections. I removed the woofer from stock enclosure. I have the wires from stock amp, coming out from hole in back of stock encloser. The wires are connected to LC2i. So the LC2i is seeing amplified signal meant for stock subwoofer. After adjusting LC2i, I really don't think there is very much of the dreaded "roll off" that everyone seemed to be freaking out about.
Anyway, the sub hits hard, I went fairly conservative with P2 and small amp, but could have gone huuuuge. The tone sounds great, not artificial like when I ran a Epicenter in my Jeep to fix Infinity system.

LOL. I am on a dozen forums for various subjects. I have never seen one where the threads get so sidetracked. :frusty:
