Can't really hear any thud.. Just sounds like the window comes down a bit (as it should) before you open the door.

You really need to listen for it. It's after the window noise and sounds like a buzz/thud.

I think I have this too, is it a low pitched short hum like noise? I think it comes from the door speaker or somewhere in the sound system. I have no idea what it is for but my car does it most of the time and has done so since it was new. It doesn't really bother me but I would like to know what it is.

Quick update. Went to the dealer this AM and the electrical specialist did was he unplugged the sub woofer and said try it for a few days and see if I still here it. Hopefully this is the fix. He has done this on other cars so we shall see:hail:

So, it's not the sub woofer, still makes the noise. that would've been such in easy fix :frusty:

But this past weekend I installed the light bar and had the top open for two days and no sound...I don't think it's the top having bad ground but I'm thinking maybe it's some kind of sending unit that's causing the problem because the door sends info to the car that the door is opening or closing so crack the window down or up, forgot to mention the sounds happens when you close the door as well.

Now if you guys with the coups have that noise then my theory just got thrown under the bus

So I called ford and told them this same story and the said we will call ford head office to get some feedback :eyebulge:

Hope that works out :hail:

I've noticed this. When I use remote start and approach the car, I can hear my sub making a deep rumble until I open the door. Really weird.

I had this after having a stereo installed. It was The way the remote wire was wired into the factory wiring. I had to run a separate remote wire to a fuse in the fuse box and that resolved it for me in a 16 gt
