Now that the 10 speeds are making their way to market, anyone here planning on doing a 10r80swap?

I don't believe the current ECU can handle the 10 speed data, and there's no aftermarket one to use. So you won't see one for a while I imagine.

Is it supposed to be stronger than the 6R80?

I will wait two years before pulling the trigger on a 6r80 to see if someone makes it work with the normal upgraded cluster that have the speed display in the center.

time will tell, we are making over 1100 rwhp and the 6r80 holds up very strong, i'll be very interested to see how the 10 does over time.

I would definitely swap to a 10 speed if it became an option

My guess to convert a manual car to a 10R80 and good converter will be in the $8,000-$10,000 range with labor.
