I was stunned to see this thread. Yesterday,I was within $3k of trading my 7 week old GTPP for base C7. If I had got more for my trade,it would have been a done deal. I can't imagine being disappointed in the Corvette but they are offing some great incentives now,up to $9k if you're a current Chevy owner, which I'm not. Out the door for under $50k when some tarted-up '18 GTs are near that. One downside was no navigation in a $50k vehicle........

I'm not disappointed in the C7, just surprised I'd miss the Mustang so much. The incentives are insane right now for 2017's. I got 20% off MSRP on mine and that's on the west coast. Some east coast dealers are having 25% off. Carplay and Android auto are standard features, so integrated NAV should be a non-issue now.

I agree the incentives are great. You can get a C7 for well under 50k out the door if you qualify for all the incentives. I didn't qualify and the price was still under 50k out the door.

In my experience, car navigation systems are horrible compared to Google Maps or Waze. Audi's new MMI is stellar and Teslas nav is great but just about every other automaker has a system that isn't as good as what's on your phone.

I have found a C7 GS with the Z07 package for roughly $60k, to bad I am not in the market lol. Those deals are killer though.

I can't fit in a C7 so I easily can rule out any Vette due to my height. If it doesn't have a back seat, I probably can't fit in it with legroom unless it's custom made.
I’m 6’5” no problem fitting in a C7. 200 lbs helps also. $58K GS 1LT nav/recorder. Last April corvette Loyalty credit + GM card bonus cash. ....My son calls the vette a batmobile :paddle:....My favorite all time heritage mustang boss 302 ... I like it better then the C7 ! I have owned a few 1970 Boss mustangs.

For what it’s worth - I have a buddy that has a Grand Sport and we track our cars a lot. I am in the market for a 350R as I have a 997.1. I can tell you the Grand Sport is a monster on the track. Amazing car if you are into tracking. In the right hands it can keep up with much more expensive cars like the GT3. Maybe a mute point for those that don’t track their cars.

Gorgeous! Not a bad deal, I would love a Z07 package car. I currently own a Boss and I doubt I will sell this car anytime soon. If I could afford another toy a GS would be great.

I meant by stunned because of the timing for my interest 2 days ago, like yours in the C7. My point regarding nav was a car with a $56k sticker SHOULD have nav. I'm not debating whether integrated,Garmin or Carplay and Android is best.
I'd sure like to find a dealer on this coast offering 25% on a base though.

Here in SoCAL and within 500 miles, I can't find a C7 for $50K OTD unless you quality for the $3K rebate for current Chevy owner. If you do, then it 's $46-47K before tax/tag/lic.

A 1LT manual with NPP exhaust w/out the incentive is $50K before tax, tags, license. Still a good price but $50K OTD is nicer :)

You don't necessarily have to own a Chevy to get the $3000 Loyalty Discount, if someone in your household has a Chevy you can get the discount that way too.

Here's one for $50k OTD, manual 1LT w/NPP and "stingray" package..

Yes, I know it accounts for household too but still wouldn't apply in my case.
Wow that Vette is a great find. Even has the NPP exhaust and a great color. It's a flight and a 9hr drive from me. I'm tempted for sure.

But I'll probably come to my senses since as great as the car is, I have a hard time justifying spending $50K on a car period. Plus I bought a new Focus ST not too long ago. Even though i got a sick deal on it, I don't feel like taking a loss. Plus I like how the ST flies under the radar. Whereas as the Vette is so....Look at me!
