I've been thinking about going with some lighter wheels and an aluminium drive shaft. Do you guys think this will help my 0-60 times much? Currently my 20" factory wheels (without tire) weigh 38lbs, while the 19" wheels I'm looking at weigh 24lbs. So I would save about 14lbs on each wheel. I believe the driveshafts save about 10lbs?

Upgrading the tires would have a far greater impact on 0-60 acceleration. Michelin Super Sports/ Pilot Sport 4's would do the trick.
My car is a daily driver in PA, so I need something that can handle colder temps and wet roads, but still perform well for spirited driving and maybe a track day or two. How do the Michelin's handle colder temps and wet roads? I was looking at the Continental DW06's.

I would keep the old set of wheels for winter. Then you can have dedicated summer and winter tires. That will each give you a better 0-60 time in the appropriate season compared to an all season tire.

Get a set of wheels with more meat for summer.

Conti DWS's are a great tire. But in terms of getting out of the hole, A/S tires are just not going to cut it. You're gonna roast em every time. Are you wheel hopping right now?
Not really. I have the BMR cradle lockout. Is there a better choice for a year round tire for people in colder climates? Right now I have the factory summer tires.

I like my dws06 but when I decide on some aftermarket wheels I'm gonna get some summer tires and rotate back to the a/s from mid sept-mid may. As far as summer tires I will probably go with cont dw extreme contact, nitto g2 or some type of mich's.

I'm thinking about going with the NT05's now since they're offered on the wheel-set I'm planning to get, but I can't find much info on them for colder weather driving. I can only afford one set of tires so it's a tough decision.

For one set and cold weather, I would PASS on NT05's.
