Let me tell you from years of experience...there are only a few things I would NEVER consider buying used. A convertor is one of those.

Seriously, unless he’s trying to buy new / unused parts. There’s just some things you can’t be cheap about and need to bite the bullet. I guess anything involving moving/operational parts you can’t really trust used when doing a proper build. Turbo/Blower kits at least you can rebuild and usually have obvious signs prior to purchase.
