Ok so, I usually like doing most of this stuff myself because I don't trust these guys to put everything back properly. That said, I have an oil cooler recall on my R and I need to take it in.

Have any of you had experience with the service at the known GTA/Toronto dealers listed here? Barrie isn't Toronto, but close enough.

I bought the car in Saskatchewan, so sadly can't go back to my purchasing dealer.

Had my recall done at discovery ford in Burlington. Talked to the mechanic and he seemed like he cares. Told me they drop the belly pan to change the oil to keep things clean. I will do my oil changes myself, but my experience with discovery ford has been good. I live in kitchener and my local dealer told me to wait for ford to contact me with regards to the recall, discovery ordered the parts and had them in 2 days.

Cool. Weird that your dealer told you that. Afik, Ford wont contact you, they send a letter saying the parts are in (which I got 2 days ago), but apart from that they will never contact you again.

Burlington is a wee bit far haha. But good to know it went smoothly.

I don't live in Toronto, but I try to avoid the Dealership Service departments at all cost. I've heard good things about Barrie though. Hopefully you can find a place that works for you.

I hate taking my car in, but this recall must be done.

You missed Heritage in Scarborough. They sell a lot of Mustangs and are active as sponsors for a couple of Mustang forums in the GTA. I bought my car there, sales guy was outstanding but no idea what service is like since I so far have done my own service since it's only needed an oil change.

Is heritage an SVT dealer? If not, sadly, they don't work on the GT350's...

I would take it to Summit Ford as I know the owners there and one of the service advisors is a friend of mine.

Thanks for the reply, I wound up taking it to Barrie Ford (Mapleview Drive & 400N) and they did a great, clean job. Annnnnd they replaced my crappy, plastic, broken hood vent under warranty!
