I still don't get why Roush continues to put those fake side scoops on. Note to them and Ford: No vents or scoops unless they are functional!

Even Chevy figured that out. The Camaro's hood vents are functional! Not hard, just cut some holes in the hood and call it engine compartment heat extractors... lol

that's what I was saying. I wonder if ford didn't let them completely change it like they have in the past with 15-17s and before. Ford probably didn't want them doing something better.

Roush definitely is holding back. This does not look like an entire different fascia like the one on my car. This looks like addon pieces. Ford had to have a say in this.
Why would Ford? If this was Shelby I could understand that due to how close the relationship is between Ford and SAI, I mean we know that a few of their cars/decisions are influenced by how far Ford lets them go, but Ford and Roush don't have that same kind of relationship. I don't think Roush wanted to go all out, the same way - as others pointed out - they did with the 13/14 cars. Just change it up enough to make it slightly different than OEM, but still remain a Roush.

a roush guy responded to me and said they weren't going to waste money on tooling a new fascia for a car on a limited run.

and opinions on 15-17 not being good are just that opinions..

You mean kind of like how people's opinions about the 18 not looking good are just opinions?

I also don't buy your bit about the Roush employee's justification.

2015, 2016, 2017 - completely different bumper
2018, 2019, 2020 - shitty bumper - and somehow a 'limited run?' Same amount of model years.

Sad!

I would suggest Roush have an even closer relationship with Ford than Shelby do. Roush do a massive amount of development work for Ford, although it's never advertised as such.

Whether that would influence what the cars look like is another matter :)

I like it. Looks better than roush's 15-17 abomination, but I know I'm in the vast minority thinking that.

also possible there is no rs3. their number 1 roush dealer mentioned that too me. They couldn't get certification on it with the new engine or something. although roush has disputed that claim on facebook but who knows.
That is correct Landon. Not until the late 2018 or 2019 model year.
They need to get certifications for the new supercharger on the new engine.

I was hoping they would make the front end of the 2018 better but I dont see much of an improvement :/

Still 15-17 best looking Roush.

I have to admit it Looks great how the triangle insert flow much better with the fender line :)
But I'm wondering why they build an european model, would be amazing if they would make their parts here legally
