GT 5.0 Oil Consumption in first 1000 miles?

Thought I would ask what kind of oil consumption you all are getting in your first 1000 miles. I've been breaking mine in by just driving it, having fun, some short throttle bursts to red line, and basically following the methods identified here:

After almost 800 miles, my level seems to be holding at just above the half-way point on the dipstick.

I have 500 on mine it's a touch above half.

I have 500 miles and mine is a hair or two below the top hash marks

Hm. At 1,200 miles; I should probably check my oil. Have to figure out how to open up the hood...

Took me a little under 10 minutes following owners manual to open hood. But since then, I've been able to do it under 1 minute. Remember that's step one, took me a while to figure out how to keep the hood up once open, that was a riddle itself!

Not mine.

At 3,500 miles the dipstick is pretty much exactly where it was on day 1, minus the small amount that my catchcan has captured.

Mine 15' is tip top at 1500 miles.
My 2012 GT lost a quart between oil changes, however.

Just checked, 2900 miles. On the low side of the dipstick tolerances, found out I missed the first scheduled change by a weekend, so trying to get her in soon to get that resolved.

You had a scheduled change prior to 5k from the dealer?

is that normal oil consumption?

When I bought the car, it came with a free oil change coupon and we (Salesman and I) picked a date about 3 months out from purchase. I completely forgot when the date we picked was and didn't get a reminder from them.

I'm not sure. I've checked the dipstick several times, mostly in the first 1500 miles. First time I saw it lower than full at all, but its been a bit since I checked.

I only checked it for the 1st time at 4500 miles and it was close to the bottom mark.

Had the oil change done at the dealership today so I'll keep an eye on it

Checked mine at 3k and was 1/2 quart low.
