Stripes and Ceramic coating

I have booked my car in when it arrives to get a cermaic coating done. But I want to get some stripes done at a later date when i decide what colour i liek best.
Just wondering if this will be a problem? I dont know if the stripes will stick properly and the last thing i want is it pealing off.

If you talk to any stripe guy they'll tell you not to have it coated before applying stripes, PPF or anything else being stuck to the car.

I doubt they're all wrong.

Then again, they may just be covering themselves...

Stripes wont stick to the ceramic coating, it'll just slide off within a few weeks.

Stripes first then coat the car ;)

mine has ceramic coat and stripes but don't know what order it was done in as I just left it at detailers and let them have at it picked it up a week later.

Mine was ceramic coated, and stripes fitted a year after. Seems ok. But I think the time between was the key

I would def do stripes first.
I tried to apply a GT101 decal to the car after C1 treatment and it just would not stick at all! Striped would be the same. However. All treatments can be removed so stripe guys would just treat the area first I would imagine.

guy who ceramic coated my car said the bond of the coating to the car will not cause any problems to stripes going on.

seems different treatments do different things....

if it helps mines got the gtechniq stuff on it (think thats how its spelt) bird shit and dead flies have no major issues sticking to it though so I'd have though heat shrank vinyl wouldn't have an issue either.

Yeah I was told that I could have stripes fitted after having a coating done. Didn't bother with the coating in the end so don't know for sure.

Yes im getting gtechniq on mine also, will contact both the detailer and whoever i find to do stripes see if it's possible
