It's nigh on impossible to get them in there you can't really get heat in there. Only way is with lacquer painting them. a couple of people have BLACK lacquer painted lights, but nobodies yet done red... I've considered it numerous times.I've been looking at the kit and noticed that the angled "return" on the lights isn't covered with red vinyl.
Is this the norm?
You can't tell. The red is diffused all over the show so unless you get up real close and personal then you won't see it.I've been looking at the kit and noticed that the angled "return" on the lights isn't covered with red vinyl.

Yep. As others say, unless yoy get your head to a position where you can see the inside of the lights, you dont notice.I've been looking at the kit and noticed that the angled "return" on the lights isn't covered with red vinyl.

That sounds disgusting lol! I'd like mine sprayed but at like 300 quid... nahhh... If i can find laquer spray paint and a guide on "How to" i'll DIY it :lol:Yep. As others say, unless yoy get your head to a position where you can see the inside of the lights, you dont notice.
Mike at modurstang told me her sprayed a set red but he didnt mask off the black bits, so the black plastic was also sprayed. No idea what it looked like but cant imagine it was nice.
It'll be the anchor room set going staight on mine as soon as i get the chance.
cant buy tastesprayed a set red but he didnt mask off the black bits, so the black plastic was also sprayed.
I have all the equipment and knowledge to spray them but I fear lacquer paint will pickle the plastic. An acrylic would be better. Then there's also the fact that both sides need identical coats and perfectly even layers. They also might fade, oh and painting is non reversible. That sounds disgusting lol! Shall I get you a kit? It'll be the anchor room set going staight on mine as soon as i get the chance.
They don't come in an envelope, they come in a tube.I haven't placed the order, I will be doing so in the morning. Hopefully we'll avoid duty as the kits will come in an envelope. Now we have three sets to order I may try for a discount?
Bollocks!! Duty it is then chaps, but we can split the fee for charging duty 3 ways at least. They don't come in an envelope, they come in a tube.
