Tim, RHD there's a few things in a few different positions and different pipe works on the headers :)!
True, I forgot you guys have got the steering wheel on the wrong side

Hopefully the video has at least some useful info to aid in the install.

The garage did actually go online and watch vids, they also dropped the engine to do the install, they had everything back in place except the starter motor - turns out they have to install both the headers and starter motor at the same time so they can be wiggled into place.

I have a tune ready to go but i'm still waiting on my GT350 IM, TB & CAI

The garage has just called me saying they are having trouble re-fitting the starter motor after installing the headers. Does anyone know why this is or how they get around it ?
Been there done that:)....

Although mine aren't kooks headers. The only way I could get mine fitted was to leave the RH engine mount loose in roughly the right position, shove the headers up into the gap, but don't put any bolts in, then fit the starter motor...

All this time the engine was supported on a jack

Once the starter motor was in position, bolt it in, then bolt the headers up, and finally bolt the engine mount up...

We've fitted a couple of sets of the XForce (Australian) headers and the first set was a bit of learning curve - now I'd say we can do a set in around 6 hours. You do have to assemble the starter loose with the manifold on this system as well.

I'm around 2 hour Mark, as soon as I read the reviews that Mike was getting around 4 years back, took my S197 to him, and I did have a trusting garage who I had been with for nearly 20 years for all my older cars, Including MR2, Supra's.
But it was worth going all that way knowing the service you would get.
How much is the labour costing you?

I went to Castle Combe on Sat, that was nearly 2 and a half hours each-way :D

No idea :(

It's now been raised to Kooks, who have admitted that it's a known issue that they've been working on to resolve. The problem is, if they replace any part of the headers, they will need to be ceramic coated again :frusty:

Yeah but that will mean my car will be off the road for weeks or I'll have to pay the garage to remove and replace my old headers and then pay again to get them refitted.

Not much help now....but my SF headers were a bugger to fit, and I very nearly gave up.....but once in place, there's a goodly amount of room around the steering shaft, and even the starter motor isn't that bad....

Seems odd that Kooks have got it so tight:shrug:

Looks like one or the other needs some metal grinding away for a flush fit.
