Very good news is..... they exist! And they are cheaper than what Ford quoted @ €154.80

Good news is.... they are TuV approved and come with a certificate!

News is.... they dont come with the replacement dust guards or bump stops like the stand alone Eibach sets do

Bad news is.... they arent making or selling them (YET) for the EcoBoost. They are GT only.
Just received the same news... had a quick visit at the dealer and indeed they exist at 142.14€ ex VAT in Belgium, unfortunately GT only. Of course Belgium is again more expensive as usual ...

And with (YET) do you mean they will become available for the EB?

Btw, did you manage to re' use the dust guards and bump stops?

Have been in touch with Eibach in the UK and Germany this morning, very helpful people!

The Ford kit is complete and correct, 4 springs only. They are designed to work with the original bump stops and dust protectors with no mods.

Their explanation was that they are now selling two 'PRO' kits. An EU and a US version.

The kit complete with the bumpstops etc (the original version) is the US version, although will still work on EU and UK cars. These are the kits you will find online via independent retailers.

The kit you buy from Ford is now effectively the 'EU' version, will only be available from Ford, has a TuV compliance certificate and does not need/come with the extra.

:)

That's the good news part as we need the TUV certificate, otherwise trouble may arise. I just hope they will become available for the 2.3L.

I ordered them yesterday and while getting back in the car the dealers warehouse tech came back out to mention he did some more research on them and had to cancel the order as they where 5.0 compatible only and didn't know if they will come for the 2.3L later on.

Maybe you know?

Ford quote 5hrs x whatever your local hourly rate is (NL approx €100 per hour).

So I'm going to a trusted guy I know who expects about 4hrs at €50 per hour!

Local hour rate here is between 60 - 80 € per hour.

So, will calcul it as a max of 500€ mod :ninja:

Will try, just hope they come out for the EB! Other news is that I just contacted a buddy who works at Belgian car inspection and we don't need the TUV paper, just a mounting report and Goca validation report.

Oh btw, I won't pay 100 an hour though... might become very expensive springs... Speedshop in Stekene charges between 35 & 50 per hour...

So if my dealer (as an authorized FR dealer/re-seller) installs these Eibach pro springs I wont pas the TUV/Goca check? Or you talking about the sport-line as well? thx
The springs from the dealer have TuV papers. See my photos above.

Some more close up photos from the TuV documents.

Interestingly, the document covers both the EcoBoost and GT on the engine type section, so maybe EB springs will follow?

In addition to this, there are two different front springs covered in the document, and only one rear spring type. The 2nd spring I think is likely to be the EB variant.

Drop level on the TuV is indicated as 25-30mm, and confirms original bump stops are retained.

And the complete TuV approval doc is attached as .pdf to this post :)

Thanks a lot!

The difference is most like due to the engine weight difference, interesting!

You are welcome :)

The alternative front spring 35147.001 seems to be slightly lighter, shorter and thinner, which would make sense for a lighter front axle weight.

If I had to bet, id say an EB variant is on its way :)

PS

This is the number of the EIBACH technical helpline in the UK. The guy I spoke to this morning was very friendly and helpful, and im sure would help out any enquiries regarding future EB spring releases :)

Actually, f*ck it, ive just read the document again.

Its very clear, the alternative spring is the EB spring. Ford have also got the TuV approval for an EB variant!

I think its just a case of waiting to see when it turns up.

Maybe the EIBACH helpline could give you a heads up on the Ford part number?
