The 500 should come as a 19 model, should make its first appearance at Detroit next spring. Large displacement blower is The Logical choice. Totally different as the 350 as it will be a fast in a straight line design just as we would expect it to be. The large displacement motor for the truck will probably not see the150 but a 250 raptor variant would be the next step.

I had a couple of those C63 AMG engines, one came as a factory upgrade to 507 hp, and it had the best exhaust note ever, and revved beautifully. Downside, well I signed a non-disclosure agreement so hah, no comment...

The 14/15 Z/28 made over 500hp in that configuration (pushrod v8). The DOHC w/ DI on a 6.2L punched out to 7.0L should easily hit 650+hp and still be able to meet emissions with a two-key setup.
That would be very impressive. I don't remember the Amg models making a ton of torque though. Either way if they bring out a 7L 650+hp engine that'd be Boss.

Good find! I always doubted a tt v8 but would certainly welcome it. At this point I'm still waiting to see if there will be a gt 500. Either way I'm not planning on getting rid of my car anytime soon.

7 liters would be incredible, however I don't see it happening.

I'm not sure Ford has an engine that would work as 7 L nor could they create one with boring, stroking that I have been able to find. There are fitment issues with the hood and a taller deck (for longer stroke engines) would require a wider engine bay as well since engines like the 6.2 L were never a 4V design. It would be a massive undertaking IMO.

Sounds cool in theory however ... 50th Anniversary of the BOSS 429 is closing in.

Not seeing it unless they go back to the old school single cam block. What are the odds of that?

I don't think there will be another GT500. 13/14 was the swan song for that nameplate. Return of the Cobra name is coming.

The return of something with a 427 in it, maybe.

Fords Smarter than those other guys. They already made a 6.2 based 460. It put down 850HP at 8500RPM. Thats with only 2V heads. Probably could get an emission friendly 7.0 with 650+. Probably wouldn't have the torque of a FI motor though.

Also, there is another thread on this. Probably should be merged.

What kind of power can this engine make? While still being emissions legal of course. 600, 700?
I think the new 7.0 will be an advancement of the 6.2. They already made a 6.2 based 460 (7.5L) and it put out 850HP turning 8500RPM. Don Bowles also ran a 7L version is a race car before they even came out making 700HP+. This is all with 2V heads. I don't think an emission friendly 650HP+ is out of the question for a new 7.0L. Now if Ford could make DOHC heads fit in an engine bay that would be something. Even a 3V head would probably provide quite a bump and not increase the physical size of the motor.

I know I've posted this video before somewhere, but hey, its that good.

The article confirmed about the 7.0L motor but are saying that it will be introduced in the new ford super duty truck. They also mentioned the new GT500 could see the same motor with forged internal and high flowing heads

I would love to see a higher rpm 7.0L N/A motor producing 700+ HP

Hmm. Article says that Ford will be revealing this thing sooner that you'd think. The Demon is being revealed Tuesday. Would be a shame if someone stole it's thunder...
