All reliable guesses
700+HP, CPC. 70k+
Take out the endless + symbol and then there is something there.

Well, it took Ford months to announce the actual HP figure of the '18 GT after revealing the cosmetic changes......I don't expect there to be much "Freedom of Information" coming from Ford regarding the GT500.

Meanwhile the 2018 ZL1/1LE versions are out and driving around tracks. Dodge has introduce a widebody Hellcat that can take corners. Ford ? Ford ??? Yeap we have our beautiful GT350, but we are STILL GUESSING what a GT500 will be. Or heck...even if there will be a GT500.

Ford need to end this cloak and dagger stuff and put a car out there. I am happy with my GT350 for sure. Hell, put a TT kit on it and it will dust off any ZL1 or Hellkitty. Still the fact that Ford is still playing the game with the next Halo Mustang is getting tedious.

Given the fact that the GT350R is still selling above MSRP (excepting a few "unicorn" MSRP stories) in the 3rd model year and GT350's are just now starting to see only marginal discounts.......Ford has no real reason to rush anything new to market.

Personally, I was hoping for a Boss 429 remake with a N/A 7.0 making 700 HP....and a $48K sticker (no "gadgets" or ADM's)..........one can dream.

I am sure someone else must've caught this but in the picture of the new digital dash with the 755 on it the miles are 1121.8 so 1/12/18? Detroit International auto show starts January 13 2018 I believe. Just an observation

Ford still needs to sell 1 more year of the 350, granted its a totally different engine than the gt500, but still, its a SE mustang, so yeah, why rush it and have would be 350 buyers wait it out for a gt500. Ford really wouldnt be losing sales, just delaying them.

I too would have liked, even a 650HP 7L. Its too bad it aint happening. Still wondering what the other SE vehicles are to finish out the 12 by 20.

Fun fact, The coyote 5.0 makes more power than the 5.8L if both use the same supercharger. The even better heads of the 5.2L will open up that gap even more.

Sadly I don't think Ford will build a 6L tall deck block version of the 5.2L with a hot V twin turbo like I want. Or a 6L V12 out of the 3L ecoboost. Either way....

I didn't know that, but how is the average power and torque? How about peak torque? Not trying to start anything im genuinely curious.

That's definitely not for a Corvette. They use a transaxle.
Did you read it?
It said:
Modular design for rear-wheel drive (RWD), all-wheel drive (AWD) and trans-axle platforms

If it’s for the gt500, only 664 T. Not bad. It could still yield 750+ HP

Let me rephrase, Corvette uses a transaxle that does not mount to the motor.
