Who's running a built MT-82?

Unfortunately my buddy broke his transmission on 3rd gear
He's thinking about sending to to Ben Calimer to get it rebuild. How has it been holding up so far? For those of you that sent it to him.
If not 2nd option is get the Magnum XL but that's more money.

The coyote is pushing 785 RWHP on whipple and e85. He may add more power down the road.

Ben Calimer is the best in the biz. I have 50 plus cusotmers running his built mt-82s beating the hell out of them. He's good and quick.

Might be able to find a tremec from a tech pack 350 owner for cheap

Better but not as good as the Magnum xl! 6060 is a remote mount shifter not a top mount, the synchros are older technology plus the magnum has a few more tweaks that aid performance! If you wanna play hard you gotta pay hard! I had a magnum in my 2012 its the best manual for these cars!

I have a Stage 1 Calimer trans. 30,000 miles on, 2,000+ of that is road course.

Facebook only. I just ordered a stage 1 TR6060 from him.

I'm building my own Level5 with a friend who owns a local transmission shop. I'll be doing testing in the spring and we may offer local rebuild services for extreme duty (Chicagoland). A good clutch and shifter goes a long way with the MT82 - my stock trans survived 200+ passes at full weight, 700+ HP, running consistent 10.4 - 10.5s before a small 2nd gear mishap
