Tests were done on a different day.

Motortrend needs to do a GT350 vs M4.
Base m4 in plain white with cloth seats is $67,195
Base GT350 is $57,045

Gimme the V8 any day.
Yea but you still get a basic electronics package with the M4. The Harmon Kardon stereo as well as iDrive with Nav is included.

Only the center of the seats are a cloth, while the out skirts of the seats are leather. The ZCP package is a nice package. Where can you find a base GT350 for MSRP, no seriously. I haven't been keeping up whats going on with ADMs.

You can't compare different days since track conditions can very by SECONDS, especially at the ever changing and dusty Chuckwalla.

Heck, lap times for the same car can drop over a second from the morning to the early afternoon. I'd say they are all very close though with the details of track conditions and time of day the cars ran being the biggest influences.

.2 seconds. hmmm The differences will become miniscule as time goes on. The prices will vary wildly. People will be paying for fit, looks and craftsmanship but everyday guys will have basically the same performance.

new GT PP with DI/PI, new suspension will be very interesting.
probably comparable with 1LE.

GT350 vs 18 PP will be interesting as well.
