So... I've been wondering, how do you guys justify what you spend to mod your Mustang?

I'm all for personalizing and making your car stand out and such. But being someone who's unable to disassemble the engine and reassemble it again, I don't think I'll be keeping my car for more than maybe 7-10 years.

I feel like if I spend anymore money on my car, I won't get to use it to it's full potential by the time I get rid of the car.

That being said I've already spent about 11k on mods/labor, which was about 25% of the purchase price of my car.

I see some guys with mods that cost more than the price of their car. Do you guys keep the cars for long? Is it due to sponsors?
my friend, you only live ONCE in this form.if you want something and can get it,enjoy it the way you want too.:ford:

Because I can afford it, I enjoy it, and I don't have anyone telling me no. You only live once and every penny spent on mods so far has returned me with a huge smile.

I just keep saying "you only live once", and try not to thing twice about how much I'm spending.

I could be spending my money on far worse things... and that seems to justify it for me.

All money spent on my Mustang makes it more potent as it pertains to killing me. I won't feel bad about the money I spent when I'm being cleaned up with a mop at a crash scene

If everything you spend your money on is supposed to be a good financial investment, then you're left with nothing but real estate and mutual funds... which sounds like a pretty damn boring existence to me. Barely an existence at all, really.

The return on an investment is not always going to be monetary.

What happens the other 1.5 years?
Heh, my thoughts exactly.

But especially given his username, I have to assume he was trolling...
