Not sure if anyone has ever tried installing a v8 catback on their v6 so figured we slap a used one on my sons 2015. Fits perfectly...sounds real good as well. Butt dyno tells me no loss of any low end. My son will report back if he has drone. Pics for now. Only vid I have is a quick fly-by but it has slo-mo so it may not appeal to a lot of people. (Getting a lot of hate on FB ATM  ) Big THANKS to my bud Glacierbrew907 for supplying the exhaust.

Also pardon the dirty car. :ninja:

This is cool! I always figured the 5.0 stuff would fit, but I like the sound of the Roush AB so I went that direction. But now I'm feeling like I can get a better sound with a different system. Do you mind doing another video with some revs and a few different take offs and rolling acceleration clips?

The guys on FB get hard ons for bagging on V6 owners, it's funny because its usually 35+ year olds with base GTs bagging on 18-20 year olds with V6s.

rvlyssup Any updates on this? Drone? Some more videos? I'm thinking off pulling the trigger on this set up. The price is right

Sure sounds nice. I am very surprised that you don't feel any loss of low end based on the jump to 3". Glad you are enjoying it!

I know it might be comparing apples to oranges but the Duratec 4 cylinders used in the Focus (which shares a similar head design to our also Ford/Mazda collaboration engines) benefited greatly from a 3" exhaust with no loss of torque. I'm not surprised that our V6 engines also share similar results. If one can deal with the added noise a 3" exhaust + tune is the way to go.

I've asked my son to make a couple of idle & pulling away vids but he hasn't responded yet. He lives about 2 hours from me so I don't have everyday access to his car to make the vids myself. As for drone, he said there is some but can't elaborate on how much it is cause drone does not bother him. Matter of fact, he loves it. Again, drone is all subjective so I'd have to listen for it myself to really know. Drone also does not bother me but choose not to have any at this point in my life not to mention, I have to keep my wife & 8 year old son happy campers when riding with me. That said, there is zero drone while driving his car normally just around town.

Yeah I was expecting power loss but was really surprised there wasn't any. My first Mustang was a 3.8 (Essex v6) vert...slapping duals on that car, I lost some major low end but sounded nice. But then again, crank HP on the old boat-anchor 3.8s were a measly 150HP. The 3.5 & 3.7 v6s are superior in so many ways that is for sure.
