The LS7 is glorious, we won't see another 427 in production. Dropped valves aside, it's a fantastic motor, it's a 650-675HP NA car with H/C/E (even with reasonably streetable cams).

I like the shape of the C6 better than the C7, even though the C7 is the "better" overall car. The C6 interior is decent (the 3LZ interior package is super nice). Huge brakes, big fenders, I just _love_ how the C6Z06 sits and it's not as littered with plastic ducts/ports/stuff/things.

'08 got the T6060 vs. the T56 tranny in previous years, and a few more general tweaks, I'd start with that year. I think the C6Z06 is a performance steal in the used market, especially if you're considering modifications.
Agree, thats why the z28 camaro was able put down great numbers to begin with. The torque on those engines are unreal, and c6 corvette was a lighter generation. I still like the c7 exterior though, it looks sharp, sporty, and more expensive than its price tag!

C6Z is tough to beat bang for the buck if you like them well enough. I have quite a few friends that have them. 10's are cake for a good driver with minimal mods. Tires and tune pretty much all you need to get there consistently.

If you buy one be prepared to do the heads and the valves. The valvetrain issues are real.

C6z or whipple gt 5.0?

Because if your pulling the heads, your doing a cam too.

Modded vs modded i like the idea of an automatic supercharged v8 vs the big NA thats 10 years old.

Thoughts on this same match up but with a SC on the mustang?

Did you ever decide what you wanted to do? I am also looking at going from an S550 (GT w/ PP) to a C6Z. My only concern is that, within my price range, most of the Z06's around me have around 50K miles.

Still haven't decided, one day I read about paxton supercharged GT running mid 9s 1/4 then the next day I realized that the z06 is a 3100 pounds and can be 600 whp easily with H/C/I. Such a tough decision

If you are planning H/C/I, then definitely go C6Z. 3100lbs with 600 NA HP is awesome.
