Extreme Turbo Systems Ford Mustang Ecoboost Intercooler Upgrade

Website Link: http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/ets-ford-mustang-ecoboost-intercooler.html

The ETS Ford Mustang Ecoboost Intercooler is easiest way to improve power by eliminating heatsoak which drastically effect the performance of your vehicle. Factory calibrations start reducing timing once charge air temps reach 100° and the higher they get the more the reduction. An upgraded intercoolers will prevent your car from heatsoaking and keep charge air temps within 10-20 degrees above ambient to ensure you have consistent power output on the street, track, and circuit.

We've designed our intercooler with 23 charge rows which gives us more heat transfer plates for optimal cooling, more internal flow and less pressure drop than any other intercooler on the market.

Features

  • 20x14x3.5 core size
  • Supports over 700whp!
  • Direct bolt on
  • Works with factory crash beam
  • Works with factory intercooler piping or aftermarket intercooler pipes that work with the factory intercooler.
  • No cuttings or drilling
  • 2.5" inlet/outlet
  • Average 35% reduction in charge air temps
  • Built in the USA
  • Availabled in Silver, Black, Blue, Gold, Red or Purple

We also have an anodizing option. (Focus RS intercooler picture for reference).

Can I use the stock pipes or do I need to upgrade those at the same time?

You can use factory or aftermarket piping kits that work with the factory intercooler.

We plan on releasing charge pipes in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks,

Michael

"Direct bolt on". Can this be installed without removing the bumper?
We designed this intercooler to work with the factory crash beam.

Thanks,

Michael

I'm thinking I wasn't clear enough. Perhaps I should have said "bumper cover" instead of "bumper". It looks like it does need to come off.
Having to remove the bumper cover doesn't mean it's not a direct bolt on unit.

You will need to remove the bumper cover for install.

Thanks!

I wasn't saying it did. I simply was hoping that "direct bolt on" meant that the cover didn't have to come off.
It looks like a nice piece; I just don't want to take the front end of my car off if it can be avoided.

It may be possible, but attaching the top brakets are going to be a royal pain in the butt. I highly recommend removing the bumper cover.

Thanks,

Michael
