As much as I love my solid black R I have contemplated adding blue stripes with a red border. Might irk a bit its not on the factory window sticker but I should get past it

You can always peel the factory stripes if you get tired of them. I say go for it.

There is a problem placing a ceramic coating on the paint--if you decide to further protect your car with PPF, the coating must be removed with a compound and buffer so the PPF will adhere to the paint. Unfortunately, ceramic coating cannot be removed from the stripes.
i'm going to call you out on complete misinformation.

You can absolute wrap and/or stripe over Ceramic coatings.

I had the front of my car wrapped in PPF. I had cquartz pro done over top and over the rest of the car.

I got a rock chip on my roof that bothered me.

i had my roof wrapped matte black.

a year later, no lifting , bubbles, etc. still looks the same as it did the day i picked it up.

I've even had my car wrapped twice overtop of the PPF and cquartz for events. no problems at all.

I started removing my stripes, I think the back end and hood look so much better clean. However I stopped before removing the roof and trunk lid. I kind of like it, but will soon take it all off.

I'LL USE YOUR MAGNETIC AS EXHIBIT A.

I CAN'T SEE THAT CAR WITHOUT THE BLACK STRIPE, JUST A BEAUTIFUL LOOK. IT WOULD BE A TAD BETTER WITHOUT THE WHITE TRIM ZITRO, SEEMS INCOMPLETE.
IF I could remove all badges without having unsightly holes I would. Incognito, stealth. I'm not one for flash and go I just go.

Did this with my C7. Removed all badges with the exception of the hood badge as it was inset. All the fish and Corvette script across the back were removed in week 1 I like the stealth look as well. Too bad the GT350 badges are secured through the fender. There really is no reason to do that with today's automotive adhesive.

Harold, I see you like that stealth approach and that certainly has it's sleeper merit.
The magnetic/black is second to the black/black as far as the most understated stripe combo on this gt350.
My wife and I always loved that Eleanor paint combination.

Every few weeks I think about replacing my factory blue stripes with matte black ones. Sadly the front stripes are already under some very expensive PPF
