Just got back from the Detroit auto show charity preview. Was a little disappointed at the Ford Mustang showings. 4 cars on the floor. 1 gt350 roped off, 2 ecoboost coupes and 1 gt vert. All 2016s. No 2017 s550s or any info on them. Couldn't even find a rep to ask questions like new colors or any changes that may or may not be coming. The white ford gt was pretty wicked though!

well..

2016's have been on lots since since.. october? so what four months, and 2017's won't even be talked about until like july/august heck people are still ordering new 2016's and will be for a while, and people are just now getting 2016 gt350s.

makes sense just like every other year.

were the Ford reps the only ones AWOL?

I would like to see an option for a loud paint in metallic. Metallic yellow, etc.

Hope they reveal something a bit more interesting at the NY auto show.

What are you waiting on? If the 2017 had any major changes we would have seen it by now.

Probably to save travel money. Its a long way from Dearborn to Detroit.

Order banks for 2017 are supposedly to open up in April.

Was hoping to see more interior color options with premier trim, pp with auto, things like that. Good thing is wife sat in one and loved it and now wants one :headbang:

The Reps at these shows are usually Sales guys from dealerships. They would not know anything anyways.

I would not expect to hear any news on the 17MY until the end of summer

Not sure about others because I was only interested in talking to ford so wasn't looking for other manufacturers reps. I will say we sat in a corvette and the rep was there within 5 seconds talking and showing us things on it. That's good business.

i stopped going to auto shows because they barely have cars there and the good ones are either locked or roped off.

The best part of car shows was always collecting all the books to read later. Without the books, it's no more than paying to go to a very crowded dealership.

I was just saying this last night. I loved going through the books as a kid.
