Steeda Hood Strut Install
Bought these after I read Steeda’s product description. They claim the larger hood mounts will help prevent hood buckling. Not sure it’s true, but I figured for a few more bucks why not. They came with great instructions and the install was very straight forward. I deviated from the instructions slightly on the battery cover modification. Rather than drilling a large hole I used a Dremel and cut a hole that matched the mount size and shape. The only disappointing aspect of the kit is the hole on the passenger side that is supposed to hold the washer fluid hose is too big. The plastic christmas tree push pin does not fit. I had to temporally use some double sided tape to hold the clip in place while I look for a long term solution.

Quick Jacks
I hate using jack stands. They have always felt super sketchy to me. With the current planned mods I thought it would be a good idea to pick up a set of quick jacks. These things are awesome. They took 4 weeks to arrive from Ranger. They were delayed as they recently upgraded the quick connects due to leaks in the old version. This seemed to be main complaint in all the reviews I’ve read. The wait was worth it as I have zero leaking. I used them for the first time today to install my Borla S-type Catback.

Blacked out the front pony and the back GT logo. Taped everything up and shot 8-9 coats on each. Love the blacked out look. I decided to leave the fender logos for now. The chrome seems to blend in pretty well with the silver.

I love the black and white photo looking from the driver's side/rear. The black and white and your silver S550 color combo makes the lines of the car really pop!

Borla S-Type Exhaust

I finally got around to installing my exhaust this past weekend. I purchased this kit from American Muscle. They shipped very fast and everything arrived in excellent condition. Borla did a great job with packaging. They use thick cardboard and expanding foam that keeps all the pipes from banging into each other during shipping.
The actual install was very straight forward. It comes with detailed color instructions but if you watch the CJ Pony video you will be completely prepared. I installed this by myself in about an hour. Fit and finish were both great.
This was one of the most needed mods in my opinion. The new Mustangs are far to quiet. Unfortunately, my gas milage is suffering now. Due solely to the fact I keep mashing the gas pedal to listen to that lovely sound. Highly recommend this upgrade.
