Im looking at picking up Racestar 17x10.5 +48 rears. I saw the Mickey ET Street R tires and want to know if a 305/45/17 would fit without issues.
I am lowered on Steeda Progressive's.
Any of the wheel/tire guru's have insight it would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Running 17x4.5 front with 185/55/17
What about scrapping underneath when going over bumpers slightly inclined ramps? I have the exact same set up as you and am scrapping the bottom of the car everywhere with the 26" tall tire up front. I also have a cervinis lip which is significantly bigger than stock and I will be removing this week but am still a bit concerned that something else underneath is hitting when going over bumpers/ ramps

Steeda jacking rails have taken all the abuse, no damage anywhere else and I have massive speed bumps where I live.

So you are getting some scrapping underneath too? I'm more worried about the oil pan, seems like I haven't touch it yet but every time I get to see under the car I can see it right there like 4 inches away from the pavement lol, seems like am fine on the sides is mostly the front what worries me, hopefully it gets better with the stock lip, however next set of front tires will be 28" tall to be on the safe side

Nah I haven't had any issues, and I have been on this set up for almost a year now. I wouldn't worry about it unless you are going off road sometime soon lol

Stangrcr67, are those tires a bit wide for the 9.5 wheels? I love the look of that setup! I have the same color and the same BMR drag springs. I'm looking for a drag wheel and tire setup. Not sure what mods you have, how does your hook with this setup? I don't have the shocks. Did someone tell you the 305s would be ok on 9.5 wheels? Great looking ride!

For this type of application tire fits perfect. For a taller tire and the fact that I want sidewall flex when launching it helps. If it were a 19-20 wheel and tire for more roadcourse/autocross set up it would be a different story.

Car hooks great. I do a lot of playing around on the street and no prep stuff so I love them. Eventually I'll switch to a 15in wheel and 275/60 set up though just for intents and purposes of racing classes.
