Manual tranny BTW.
Went out to dinner, backed the car into a parking spot, left it in R.
2 hours latest started the car--and--no radio, no b/u camera. Turned it off, restart--no joy!

Drove it home, got the manual out but found no info on which fuse controlled the radio.
After doing a search on the forum, I found a couple of similar cases where people either disconnected he negative battery terminal for a bit, or pulled the Sync fuse or pressed the radio power button and right search button at the same time and got their radio back.
I went out after and hour, touched the power button and the radio magically came on==problem solved, I guess.
Does anyone know if there is a TSB on this? Sounds like a software update should fix this but who knows.

I've had mine do that twice.
No rhyme or reason when and why.
As for bringing it to the dealer, it would be impossible to replicate.
I think this is one of the consequences of a computer controlled car.

Agreed, driving this car 30 miles to a dealer I think would be a waste of time.
I love this car but have to say, this is the first bug that I've seen in any of the cars we;ve bought in the past 10 years that took out a complete system or two in the car and then cleared itself and that would include cars like:
E90 BMW, 981 Porsche, 987 Porsche, RAV4 (2).
Not the end of the world but a bit disconcerting.

Had it happen the day after I bought my car, brought it to the dealer and they just unplugged the battery, happened a 2nd time about a month ago and the next morning it was fine. No idea what causes it

Has happened to me. Wouldn't work when I left the house, stopped to get gas, and worked again at start up. Has only done it once.

Happend to me twice also and when I called ford I received instructions on how to reset the computer electronics. You basically get in you car turn it on then wait 30 seconds then shut the power off. Then you open your driver door and wait until all the interior lights and dash ights turn off (30 seconds). then once everything is off shut the door and power the car. Try it, may work for you
