All of a sudden my car started honking twice when I shut the door after getting in. Just like it honks when it is running and you shut the door. But it's not on. Both doors, trunk, and hood are closed. The car senses the key fob just fine. What could it be. Thanks

Ok thanks. I thought it would have displayed a message on the center screen.

Per the OM, there should be a message in the info display if the FOB key battery is low. Nothing said about a "double honk" associated with the FOB battery.

Maybe you have a door, trunk, hood ajar ... or one of the sensors for a door is flaky. That's the only other thing I could find in the OM about a "double honk", which is what they call a "mislock" situation.

Thanks. As for the fob it is easy to check. When I get home I will grab the other one and if it fixes it great. If not who knows. Much appreciated both of you.

The double honk happens to me when I open the door, get in and my key fob in my pocket hits the steering wheel and presses the lock or unlock (not sure which) button before I close the door. Guarantee that is what is happening to you

That could very possibly be the case. I keep the fob in my right lower pocket and it could hit the steering wheel. My car didn't honk when I got in it a minute ago. We will see. Thanks

Ding ding, we have a winner. Mine did it again the other day. I was paying attention this time, and I did drag my pocket on the steering wheel.
