If your right side vs left side tire wear is not comparable, there would definitely be some benefit.

This would typically happen if you either tracked your car on courses that had more turns in one direction that were clearly more abusive than turns in the other, or from street cornering that's much harder in one direction than in the other . . . or possibly from an asymmetry in the alignment settings if your cornerings are pretty well evenly matched (you'd want to get this last cause fixed).

Only 1400 miles so far, but no problems. Just curious. Thsnks!

Anyone running Goodyear Eagle F1 tires (All Season)? Wanted input on whether they are good tires.

Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Seasons?

I've had a set of those on the 20AE Maxima in my sig and they've turned out to be pretty good so far. Decent behavior and performance with a good ride.

another necrothread bump. I sure hope you guys come back to the forum!

The car has ton of torque so these tires don't stand a chance even with fairly sedate get up and go running around.

I'm going for the rebranded Bridgestones a la Firestone Indy 500s in the USA. Had them only for a short time on my S197 but thought they were a pretty decent tire for the money. Plus the Ford + Firestone tie in is just too great to ignore for the 50th AE.

3800 miles no line lock and 1 burn out

Could it be the rubber is soft? Could it be that the tire is for traction not miles? I have 21000 miles on mine. Wear is minimal. Most of my miles are highway with few starts and stops. The torque in a start eats a tire.

I have P255-40-19 All Season Pirelli's on my 18GT. I just did my first oil change and rotated the tires @ 5000 miles. My car is a 6 Speed but I have never burned out except for an occasional chirp going through the gears. All tires are wearing even but the rear tires are at least 3/32 gone. You would think for the amount of money spent on this car and not having raced or tracked it the tires would show less wear at 5000 miles.

I have the track pack on my car so the fronts are a different size than the rears and they are directional. No rotating:( You might be in that same boat.
Make sure your tires are not directional
