You don't need to unplug anything to change hoods. Just remove the heat blanket, disconnect the wiper fluid nozzles, remove 4 bolts (2 each side). Then put the metal lock thingy in the front from the old hood onto the new one and do the previous steps in reverse order :) Just make sure you have enough space to put your car and 2 hoods and take your time to do the alignment before you slam it down :D

Oh well that looks like nice solution too. Kinda cruel, but definitly cheaper :)

Good solution yes but a mod that cannot "easily" be undone for the controls which occur after a few years (here it is 4 years after 1st immatriculation). Would so love to have them but probably going to stick to the non vented hood.

Jup! There's a pic of it in post #29 in this thread: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80892&page=2

@Manders Mustang has done a group buy on the OEM heat extractors, so a few guys in the UK are doing that. Only difference would be that the heat extractors aren't in the hood, but rather on top of it.
Correct ;)!

They'll not be folded into the hood like the US variant is, they'll sit on the same level as the US variant however as the US variant has recessed close to the edge of the vents it looks level.

They look like one hell of a hard task to self install as the New Take Off (NTO) parts don't come with the rear mounting bracket, but mines off to Mike at modurstang (who's done a few hood vents now) for the export model and should be good to get them perfect, I'll post some pics up next Wednesday (3rd) when they're done.

If you are buying these, do a group buy, ours worked out at around £52 a set whereas a friend imported one set on it's own and it was £93 all in. :frusty:. We'd group bought through Stackry.

post #98 is the most recent update on the vents, a few of the set went gloss black for other owners, only one owner in Magnetic kept his at magnetic, rest of us (1 Magnetic, 1 CO, 1 RR and 1 DIB) all went Gloss Black.
