I noticed that there is no Mustang at the list. Are you sure that it is compatible with Sync2 ?
All the models that are mentioned feature Sync 2, so it would be extremely weird if it's not compatible. Also all new produced EU spec Mustangs as of October 2015 are supposedly coming with the F5 card.

Probably you mean that: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-SD-C...079708?hash=item2a5d5e2e1c:g:~2gAAOSwNphWZlqD

Yes that's the one I have bought!

Yes it is compatible. As I said before

I asked the guys at car-maps.com and they confirmed F5 is the new version of F4 and will work in our cars (I asked for EU cars.. don't know if it's the same for US model).

part no. is GM5T-19H449-FA
:)

I have Sync 3, I haven't had a chance to read the manual yet, so I'm not sure if maps are updated via WiFi or an SD card, or if the one you bought is compatible with the Sync 3 system.

Just check if in sd card slot you have a 'standard' sd card map like "F something".
You probably have "A something" since it's US version.

For Luxemburg trips this F5 might be very useful !!

That is if you don't like mud roads :D

Wonder how long it will take to have Hacked versions online...

As far as I know, these cards can't be copied due to a strong protection system - and a small market to be of interest of hackers :D

Since Ford don't sell Sync 3 at all in Europe yet, I think you might need to find out who supplies the maps for it and see if they can help as I don't think Ford Europewill be able to...

I think Sync 2 users here.com (the old Nokia mapping business) so you probably need to pop out the SD card and take it from there - presuming that Sync 3 still uses and SD card!

Sync 2 and 3 use completely different hardware and software (Microsoft vs. Blackberry) but hopefully the nav maps are the same...

My salesguy somehow managed to replace the F4 card that came with my car with an F5. I'm picking my car up this Saturday so I'll be able to confirm if it works by then.

Maybe other model i.e. Mondeo took recent delivery with F5 version.

Do the dealers do this as part of the PDI or are they loaded at the factory? Since it seems to take around 3 months for delivery, that seems a long time for an "older" map SD card to sit around...

Dealer does nothing: car arrives with all stuff in a bag and a packing list (I forgot to take a picture of that). They only have to mount licence plate holder and a few stuff like that (they also should set the ECU in 'normal' mode instead of 'transport' but don't know if this also applies to EU).

Mine came with tires at 3.5 bar and none (dealers, mechanics, etc) noticed that..
