Funny Coolant colour - 1 year old Mustang

Good tank ('cuz EB!), recently serviced and they refilled the fluid in there.

Don't go by Manders'. He's probably added colouring to match the engine bay ;)

Apparently the TSB doesn't apply to our cars, only right hand drive ones with a Coyote engine.

Ford use red and orange coolant in the Mustangs.

Red looks red!
Orange can look not so orange and almost green at time, but if you take the lid off (make sure its cold) it should look very orange and there should be nothing oil like floating on top.

I think the coolant Ford UK sell is orange hence why some cars are not as red looking as others.

Alan, you can have a look at mine tomorrow at work if you like?

I checked it tonight and looks all fine to me, a nice red/orange apart from the coolant sitting above the max I think I'm ok.

Sadly she had to go back in today..... Still contaminated……….they didn't put any coolant in it either they let the cleaning fluid in it, no antifreeze what’s so ever gerrrrrr I’m not happy !!!

There replacing all the pipe and the tank this time and a full flush out again.

Letter also send to Ford reference them covering this outside the warranty. Will let you guys know the outcome.

They'll have spent more replacing this than replacing the engine soon :lol:!

WTF, LOL!

I think you need to find another dealership and contact Ford UK directly via Facebook as the flush is not designed to be run on, its a flush so 20 minutes or so maximum.

My coolant, this is like 2000+ miles after mine went:

As you can see red/orange, no signs of oil.

Heads up guys if you having the same issues. I was just told the header tanks are on back order, they can't get them to June ...... thing just gets better a!!!! gerrr

Just tell them to jet wash the mofo, they will clean up no issue if they take the time and effort to do so. No need for a new header tank.
