The price is basically what's driving me at this point. I wasn't paying attention when they did the last generation's refresh and I got on board just after the S550 was revealed but I'd be curious to know just how deep those discounts went.I am torn between purchasing a 2017 and 2018 still. Like I have said in other posts both years have their pros & cons. Bottom line for me will be when Ford releases the specs on the new coyote engine, then comes the price. If I can get a deep discount on a 2017(enough to have money left over for mods) that will bring the performance level to a 2018, and still be cheaper - then I am going for it. If I can get a great deal on a 2018 - then I will consider it. But I need to have the options I want. Not a fan of the 2018 front fascia. I like the hood and rear valance and quad exhaust.
My plan will be to keep it mainly stock while under warranty....then possibly put on a supercharger if I want more power afterward. If you like to mod, get the 2017. The 2018 would need another year or two before they have tunes and engine power mods available because of the whole new engine thing.
If you don't mind waiting as well as liking the style sure. This is first year model for a lot of things, so expect some issues. My plan will be to keep it mainly stock while under warranty....then possibly put on a supercharger if I want more power afterward.

We might be in for a pleasant surprise come Fall (when they are saying the 18 will be for sale).

I don't see the incentive on Ford's site (for my region) but according to a dealer down in MD, they extending the $1500 incentive until April 3rd. I'm thinking after that, it'll transition to a cash back plus the 0% for 60 or 72 mos.Got my 14 base GT with auto as only option for $26,800, and
that was not pushing that hard, as I wanted deep impact and there
were only 3 left within 300 miles of me (none in my state).
I think it might be different this time as many who wanted a 15,
had no desire for a SRA 14. Discounts may not be as deep.
I may get into a 17 and if I can find one for high 20's again, with the
same options I have now, I might pull the trigger.
If the 18 turns out to be so much better, might consider one in
19. Too many new things going on, even minor bodywork tweaks.
Ford seems to put out cars whether they are ready or not, to
get an 18 right away.
