Glad you're back in motion! I'm curious if you took an incremental approach to your suspension mods or did it all at once? I just did rear bushings/bearings and holy s@&t what a difference! This alone stiffened up chassis immensely in my car.

CSL,
What components/mfg did you use for the rear?

The OP's list of mods is a bit extensive for me so looking for an improvement with less tampering. What is the major downside to the new components in terms of ride quality, vibration, etc.?

Thanks,

I did the cradle lock outs, vertical links, toe arms and camber plates first then did everything else after.

I agree great difference.

I think the most nvh was added with the shifter and springs.

I didn't touch the diff and did the cradle lockout instead of delrin on the cradle.

As long as you don't touch the diff or anything on the trans you should be ok.

However I love all of these components

I focused on bearings/bushings of LCAs and UCAs, as well as subframe bushings. I went with Full Tilt Boogie Racing. I've never been a Steeda fan and the FTBR gear looked better to me than BMR. FTBR was also real responsive to my questions and pretty straightforward when I asked what I NEED to stabilize the rear. These are the FTBR part numbers I went with:

FT552
FT548
FT440
FT530
I also did FT560 in the front
http://www.fulltiltboogieracing.com/2016_GT350_and_GT350R_Suspension_Parts_and_Tools.htm

These parts really stiffened up the rear. At first it felt over the top and actually felt bouncey. Once it broke in a bit the feel became stiff and PLANTED....the bounce went away. I would say this feel is not for everyone because you feel pavement imperfections pretty clearly. The feedback is unreal and this suits me well. As far as NVH goes I did not see an increase in NV, but some would say the harshness increased. I call it stiff. I anticipate some more break in to happen and I intend to do a full write up on this, as well as other mods after my first track day shakedown of the season in early May.....stay tuned.

Just chiming in on the compliments for your build! Very nice! I want a ride!

Poweredbysnail I have Rays Gram Light 57xtreme 19x10.5" ET35 square wheels that fit my GT (not GT350) no problem, though I do use an 8mm spacer up front to allow a 305 tire. That wheel is off the shelf, just takes a while to get. I am not sure if it would fit nicely or not with a GT350's offset requirements. Paul at PK Auto Designs would know. I'm not confident you want those wheels per say, but just providing specs if they help.

There are multiple things.

Not sure if those have lug holes that are 14mm. Some Volks have 14 but most are 12mm.

The TE37s in all sizes up to 19" are 12mm.

There are no off the shelf fitments that work on the GT350.

No 19" Volk wheel can clear the oem brakes up front, some do not clear the rear brakes.

The GT350 rear hubs stick out 5mm more over the regular s550 meaning to get the rear to fit with a 10.5 you need a 40mm at least. 35mm pokes like crazy.

Did my first time attack event a few weeks ago and did very well. I placed second overall behind a GT3 Cup Car with a Grand Am kit.

Current wheel and tire setup are the 5 spoke P6GR wheels in 19x11+50 all around with a 30mm HR bolt on spacer up front. With 315 Pirelli Slicks on all four corners.

Please excuse the spelling, I didn't make the trophy

The AP brake kit is doing phenomenally well, on this 100F+ day no fade or hiccups in the brakes. I put Alcon stickers to get an idea of the Caliper temps and they didn't pass the 300 mark.

Man that car is sexy. Why'd you hange wheel setups? (I like the new ones better)

I still have the other set, I switched them to my street setup. This car destroys any "extreme performance summer tire" I've tried and didn't want to keep shelling out near 2k every 3-4 trackdays.

Going the "take off" slick route was a no brainer. At 600 a set they are a bargain.
