So found out best guestimate on ford axles is end of April. When comparing the specs of the ford vs DSS 1400, the ford's on paper appear much beefier.

Ford has 34 spline inners versus 30 spline DSS

Ford is made by Gforce, which if you dig into their level 5 axles you will see
they are the same, and they claim to use a better material than 300M

DSS and Gforce have great customer support, though from stories I am reading any warrantee stuff for Ford goes through Ford, which I can only imagine is time and money not well spent.

Thoughts? I don't want it to come to the end of April and I start missing track days waiting on axles.

These are for a 800whp (est) M6 Whipple on e85

Get the Ford Racing ones so you don't need to worry about the bolts coming loose.

I went with the DSS for now. I researched the bolts backing out and it became apparent there were Loctite and torqueing issues in almost every case. Simple enough to remove and retorque all the bolts with Loctite prior to install.

Isn't that the same as ordering through any other Ford part supplier?

Ive got the gforce 850 axles and very happy with them. I would only buy gforce/frpp axles.

They are the same axles as the outlaws just slightly lower spline count
I understand, spline count is most of all the differences between all the options out there, its really the main reason DSS has a 800 and 1400hp rated versions, difference of 2 splines, and Gforce has the 850 and Ford Racing ones, 3 spline difference.

DSS stands behind their products and replaced mine for free and even gave me a discount on my drive shaft.
