It's right at 2.5lbs saved for the whole set vs. stock acorns. Since it's weight saved at the hub, I've not really noticed a difference. Since I'm moving over to a Forgeline set however, I'm happy to save weight where I can since I won't have the carbon wheels any longer.
+ the 7.5 pounds I lost since New Year it's going to be epic at the track this year!!

People arguing about lugnuts is almost as boring as the people that are determined to talk about oil analysis.

Digging this one up from the dead...

I've been using McGard Splines on all my previous cars, a big reason because I like the "bearing" feature on the seat of the nut. Plus I just think they look nice and hold up well.

Can anyone tell me if these will work OK on OEM non-R wheels?
http://www.mcgard.com/product/black-cone-seat-splinedrive-lug-nuts-m14-x-1-5-thread-size-box-of-50-lug-nuts-requires-65200-65400-65500-65301-or-65302-installation-tool/?vehicle_year=2017&vehicle_make=Ford&vehicle_model=Mustang&vehicle_category=2

I'm not entirely sure what the difference is between "cone seat bulge" and "cone seat". Seems to me like they should be interchangeable?

Cone seat bulge is for alloy rims and cone seat is for steel wheels. The bulge is the ring at the end of the nut that holds the rim against the hub - for alloys the face of the nut has to be bigger than what you get if you just bevel the hex shank down at 60 degrees.

Those lug nuts are deep enough to work with OEM GT350 rims on a GT350 with stock hubs.

The first and likely only mod I plan to do when I take delivery is to get rid of those hideous chrome nuts.

Anybody have any suggestions for replacements like maybe some red or black annodized lugs?

OEM 350R lugs are steel and heavy. I replaced mine with titanium lugs from ZL1 addons. Terrance (Signiture Wheel) also sells titanium, black and a couple others.

I consider lugs as part of the rotating weight. Lighter the better.

Watching. I’ll be getting P6GR wheels for my GT350 and want black gorilla lugs for it. Need to confirm part number needed so I can order.

Thanks!

But its a hassle when you come out to find your car on blocks with the wheels laying there because someone stole your lug nuts.
