Get better tires, and send the transmission to Ben Calimer.
Yes to better tires, no to sending him your mt82. Instead have him send you a stage 1 TR6060 for damn near the same price.

This is exactly what I was going to say. Wheel hop will destroy everything.

You need to at least get yours rebuilt it a new one. Get all the stop hop stuff you can and better tires.

I just have the stocks for cruising around. I have no wheel hop I had the parts on the car that prevent it.

At the track I had drag radials.

On the street a drag radial is fine but at the strip is where a slick is more forgiving. That was my point.

I broke the drive shaft and axles at the track on drag radials. Replaced those with DSS units, and then went for a drive on the street with stock pirelli tires. Which most of the time they just spin.

I've had the car for over 2 years and have been to the track maybe 5 times.

I did buy some slicks for the next time out.

However, I'm having an internal debate on what to do. Part of me wants to just put it back to all stock and sell. Go back into a gt500 or pick up a c6z.

I get it now...by track you mean drag strip? (not interchangeable)

Play at the strip enough and stuff breaks. That's life....even purpose built drag cars break.
