My GT vs 2011 SRT8 Challenger

My buddy wants to play around some on the autobahn and has asked me to race him. He has a 2011 SRT8 Challenger. He just bought it a few weeks ago and hasn't done anything to it. He said the guy he bought it from told him it had an intake and a tune done to it. Everything else he said is stock. Do you think with the weight difference and the Mods in my signature I can take him? Or do you think he will smoke me? He said he has raced a stock 2014 and it wasn't even close. I built this car for the Nürburgring, not the autobahn so I may see if he wants to race there instead. Maybe both.

LOL yea, I put him on ignore a long time ago. Almost everything he says is stupid.

Lol, SRT8 with 6.1 are a joke. If you cant drive, thats the only way you'll lose. If he doesnt pop hood or something seems fishy he may have a blower or nitrous. but most of the time SRT8's are slow, unless its a 6.4 or a modded 6.1

2011 is the first year of 6.4 although if auto it's gonna have the 5 speed auto.

Zodiac, yes it is a Bama tune. I have thought about going Lund, but not really sure it would help too much. Yea he has the 6.4 with 470hp. I have seen under the hood and it is just an intake and tune like he said. It is a 6 speed manual as well.

Ironic literally just saw a 2011 SRT8 today but was driving my daily driver my Pontiac G6. If it is a 2011 just with intake and a tune you should win. I will say you will not blow him out of the water though. It should be close they have 470HP stock but probably with a tune and cold air intake you are looking close to 500. but they weigh 4100+ pounds so off the line IMO you should be able to take him top end might be pretty close.

Considering the mods of both with drivers being equal id bet on your car.

Based on the OP's listed mods, his 5.0L should outrun the '11 SRT slightly. Don't dismiss the capability of the 6.4L Hemi's, though. My '16 Scat Pack is quicker than my '14 GT was (stock vs stock). The Mustangs are cheaper and easier to mod, though.
