I haven't seen any high flow cats, but if we're getting minimal gains
Catless I would imagine the stock cats can be considered high flows right?

The stock system is 2.25". These lethal pipes are 2.5" so if you put these 2.5" in, but the rest of your system is the stock 2.25" - then it isn't really surprising that there is minimal gain.

My question was more whether there is a 2.5" catted downpipe/midpipe version..... It appears - from other posts here and calling various manufacturers, that the answer is no.... maybe because there is not enough gain there to warrant demand for it.

I am on the same boat as you . I have shorty's and GT stock exhaust with x pipe, so the cats are the only factory part I have left. That's why I want to know how much can I get from switching

Not much...at most 8 to 10hp. I had these, and after a bunch of testing, only picked up .1 and 1mph in 1/4 mile track aps testing. The resulted in a awesome idle and below 3k sound...but any kind of load produced nasty rattle like rasp. I tried resonators, different tips, different mufflers....all kinds of stuff....couldnt never get the rasp down to a level i felt wasnt embarrasing. The gains wernt worth the loss in sound. I went back to stock cats. Honestly high flow cats might inly get you a few hp. The stock cats are pretty good imo

Thanks for the input, I'm steering clear from this I have shortys, x pipe and stock GT exhaust tbh I love how it sounds its really throaty. I was only considering the mid pipes to gain more power but if it's that little forget it, can't justify the cost. Thanks

fordguys550 - You mentioned that you tried different resonators. What type?

I have been looking at the vibrant performance bottle style resonators and wondering if those in a Lethal Performance pipe would do the trick. Its not that money isn't an issue, rather just having fun with a hobby so piecing together a 2.5" catted mid pipe for $500 and welding it up could be a fun weekend....

I order a set for my 15 and went catless because I run nitrous and nitrous doesn't get along with cats very well they tend to melt you you shoot flames, but on a performance gain wise probably wont gain much. And adding an x pipe won't help your raspy issue.

Just found out that Solo Performance makes a catted 2.5" mid pipe. They also make a 2.5 cat back system with a j-pipe. I would have gone that route if I had known about it.
