I'm not sure if anyone posted this yet, but the new C7 Grand Sport is very tempting. Its the Z06 with normal vette's engine and its track focused with 0-60 in 3.6 secs.

This should be a very close battle on the track and similar price range depending on the ADM of the GT350R. The GT350R will definitely have better sound, interior and more rare. But the looks of that Grand sport is sexier and most likely faster.

This is a great year for car shopping

The GS is the first Vette in a long time that has really caught my attention. It'll sell like hot cakes for sure!

That vette will be $$ for a while. Like you said it'll most likely be faster too. I'm sticking with the R for the overall experience and I hope long time value. Vettes depreciate like no other.

Yep, I might look into picking up a used one in a couple years. The C6 GS was also really nice on paper and in looks, I just always hated the clutch and shifter of the base C6

The vette is a nice car. I looked at a few during my GT350 denial phase. One thing to consider is that getting in and out of one is hard on the old knees (you sit much closer to the ground) if you're advancing in years (and waste size), as I am. For a DD is just wasn't an option for me.

Get both...

In black...

The GrandSport really is the Vette I would have out of this current generation.

The grand sport is between the normal vette and z06 in terms of price. My guess it starts at same msrp as GT350R and will probably be close to 80k after options.

The C7 GS with a Katech stage 2 H/C/I package and ARH headers would be the Vette for me. Over 600hp NA and pulling to 7500RPM. It would be like the C7 Z06 that should've been.

I like the GT350R better, but I certainly wouldn't complain about the GS.

That isnt bad at all. Agree this is what the Z06 should have been and they should have saved the blower for a Zr1 to compete with the hell cat, damn Cafe standards!

I think the 2 cars are unique enough to justify trying to get both

That's a very mild cam that idles almost like stock too. That dyno I posted was the H/C/I and 93 tune only. It still had completely stock exhaust. Full exhaust and some E85 would be a healthy bump in low end torque and peak power.

I honestly like both cars too. The appeal of the GT350 is that the engine is so cool in stock form. The LT1 needs a little work to be interesting to me.

If a Stingray with the Z51 package is borderline identical to a GT350 (I think we'd seen it barely quicker on some tracks and barely slower on others), a Grand Sport will be handily quicker than that.

2017 GS with the Katech 427 = lots of win.

In stock form? Meh.

That would be awesome, but holy $$$$$!!

550whp with some lighter modifications would be much easier to swallow, and still a lot of fun.
