If you're nervous, just do lots of research. Plan your mods to match your goals, rather than doing what's popular (sometimes those align, sometimes they don't).

Got a 2016 GT/CS. The only mod is a custom license plate holder:)

Maybe get custom sometime later, but happy with what we purchased.

As things need replacing I might up-grade them. Specifically struts and tires.

Other than that, just a tune and plush, luxurious floor mats.

Pretty much this. Research and buy once.

Also consider how long you plan on keeping the car. Are you a person who always trades up? Sell to private party? Those answers will sort of help drive you in the mod, don't mod direction. If you plan on keeping the car forever and a day there is no reason why you can't start some of the less demanding modifications and work the rest in through the warranty and beyond.

If you are not sure what you plan to do with the car long term then again we are back to research. Only difference is now you should save the parts you replace to put back on if you do intend to sell or trade. Most people outside these forums prefer stock.

I'm around 3k into modifications and other than a tune and cai I'm done. One thing you "no modders" need to consider is the cb005 kit from bmr for rear wheel hop.

In my opinion no mustang owner should be without it. Ditch the stock rubber too just asap.

The closest thing I have to mods on my current Mustang are tinted windows and a dash cam. I think I got the modding out of my system in previous Mustangs, I'm ok with leaving this one alone.

That said, I am considering a set of jacking rails which I think would be quite helpful on a convertible.... for painting the brake calipers.

And handling. The wobbly, disconnected feeling from the rear pretty much goes away with the CB005.

Not even a cat back. Did go with rail protectors, and a spare tire. Some paint on the calipers. Used to own a highly modified car, BTDT, no more.....

I'm keeping mine stock. I have the 95 that's been modded so much that it's not fun to take on long trips.

It's a dog stock. Everyone thinks I'm racing them at stoplights just to get the bitch moving.
