What are you guys running in the rear after you do a 6060 swap?

I threw together a little chart comparison which you see below. I know tire size makes a diff but looking at this apples to apples it looks to me that a 4.10 gear would be the best selection. Thoughts?

Depends on end goals. 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, 1 mile lol. With my 3.73 5th tops out @188ish. I may actually go 3.55 next year.

I do 1/4 and half now. Hope to start doing the mile next year.

Understood. as far as tracks around here all 1/8 mile. I am more of a 1320' and roll racer myself.

I will be doing a 2.66 D&D built Magnum swap in the next few weeks at the same time of a new motor swap in my KB car .I figure the car will have enough power to trap mid 140's with current pulley combo .
I am going to leave the 3.31 rear I ran with the MT 82 which should put me through the traps in 3rd at 7500.
I figure one less shift will help my ET but I realize it may also feel like a dog on the street .
If it does then I will swap to a 4.11 rear which will mean one more shift .

That is with a 28 inch tire.
With the 4.11's I may have to drop to a 27 inch tire so I can go through the traps @7500 unless I can pulley down to make more power/trap 150+

4.11 will give me 150-152 in 4th @7400-7600 with my 28" tall M&H's.
3.73 in 6th @ 80 its only 1600 rpm such a dog
So shift down. 6th is a fuel economy gear in both gearboxes, and it will still be a dog in 6th even if you were running a 4.55 (but somewhat better). If you wanted to optimize for top speed, you would gear it to reach it in 5th. Or use the close ratio Ford Racing Boss 302R gearbox.

Why bother having a 6 speed if you'll only use 5? You don't "optimize" gears for an overdriven gear (.74 in the 6060) in a car that you are doing 1/4 drag racing. Intended power, et, trap speed and tire size is what you use to determine the best rear gear for each application. 4.11's fit the bill perfectly for me. Made the swap and would never look back.

FYI for gear swap cruise control doesn't work after installing them. I have to flash BCM still for gear change and that should take care of it as CC worked in all gears after swapping trans
