Mine would make my torque wrench click, but I still had a gap between the subframe.

Are you using a jack to push the subframe up? Do so and make sure your bolt threads are not chewed up like mine were. I had to buy new blue bolts. You may even have to loosen up the other bolts to get this one threaded.

I had this issue and ended up chasing the threads. After that all was good. Went in about halfway then just stopped.

Remove the brace. Thread in without brace to make sure you didn't damage the threads. If you can get it to thread without the brace then the brace is causing the bolt to cross thread.

You may have to chase the threads. Harbor Freight has the size you need.

GOT IT . Finally I just grabbed a breaker bar and leaned on the bolt until the bolt continued turning and the the gap closed , this was with the cradle all the way up but the gap between lower bushing and brace wouldn't close. I couldn't figure out why it was so stiff but I chanced the breaker bar and success after 5 hours . now it's time to drop the clutch at 5000 rpm and see if the hop is better!

I'm going to make a speed run on the install :) Looks easy enough to do with the back half of the car in the air and the right tools.

Can't believe I waited a year before buying a set.

Any chance these can be made in a more durable / 4 season friendly material ?

What do you mean?

They will last as long as the car lasts.

I just finished this, 35 minutes from jacking the car up to setting it down:

used two ryobi electric impact wrenches, 2 jackstands, 1 HF longreach jack, 21mm and 13mm impact sockets, and a torque wrench.

Did side per side as instructions suggest, took off the wheels on both sides once the rear of car was in the air. removed the two bolts once the cradle was supported (not via pumpkin, but behind the LCA between pickups), lowered the cradle just enough to snake in the spacers and hand threaded in the main bolts (and started the 13's in the braces).

Once one side was done, I hand threaded it all back up into place (using the jack to lift it into place and tighten by hand, not fully tight), and did the other side. I didn't run into any issues with this method, starting each bolt by hand I was greeted with clean threading. Didn't need to pry on the cradle at all, just used the jack to manipulate its height to line up all the pieces.

Kicking myself for not doing this mod sooner. Eliminated several of my complaints about the IRS's behavior.

Thanks to all of you who who acquired and use our CB005! Without a doubt, this product is considered the best bang for the buck IRS mod, the best first mod, and the best IRS solution overall by the majority of S550 Owners!

Check out some videos about this super popular IRS Mod!

And here is a quick video one of our guys made that shows a glimpse of some of the steps in our R&D and prototype processes. We used some of these same steps when developing these kits, and many other pieces for the S550 back in 2014! In the video you will even see an early prototype design pic of our "diff bushing lockouts" that were delayed in release due to figuring out the bolt shearing issues. ;)
