Auto Transmission Clunk

I too also hear a clunk when going from P to R or D, I remember reading a thread about the same issue and some of them stated it was normal. I also hear a loud thunk when the tranny upshifts/downshifts while it's cold and I'm going uphill or downhill. Sometimes I also hear a clunk if I am in SelectShift and I downshift in the higher rpms.

I wonder if replacing my driveshaft with a carbon fiber one piece will eliminate this issue?

A 1-piece shaft really helped my 2014 Cyclone with throttle response, my mechanic did the install in 20 minutes for $60.00. I want an aluminum drive shaft for my GT as well.

Been some months now.
What is the overall resolution or fix?
Think I notice it in my GT vert auto.
Previously would have put it down to normal transmission/driveshaft movement - what would I know?

What has been Ford response?
What resolves it?

Is there a long term issue if it's not addressed?

I never heard back. Hear the noise every once in a while. Car seems to be doing fine though.
