I live in Minnesota. I plan to be overseas until Spring. I want to store my Mustang while I am gone. I plan on increasing tire pressure. I have covered storage...and I bought a Tyvek car bag that I plan to store the car in.
I have an additional 5 lbs of dessicant to remove any moisture/humidity.
I am going to use a good quality battery minder to maintain the battery.
But I am worried about the gas in the tank and fuel line. I use Stabil fuel additive in all of my other gas powered motors that are stored over the winter. I have never had any 'varnish' build up, etc.
I plan on filling the tank completely full with non-ethanol 90+ octane gasoline. This should keep any moisture from collecting in the tank.
Does any one else store their Mustang(s) for the winter months...but are not going to start/run the car every few weeks? If so, what additive(s) do you add to your gas tank?
