And the answer is
Vision-Mercedes-Maybach-6-concept-202-876x535.jpg

... from C&D

We already know the answer to, "what if Mercedes made a Mustang": it's the new CLK63 AMG.

You mean C63? The CLK ended production back in 2009.
Correct. The C63 Coupe. Mercedes' new nomenclature re-consolidation makes sense.

It isn't new nomenclature in this case, the C-Class and C-Coupe have been around for a few years now. The CLK was a different class altogether with components of the E-Class mixed in. The CLK was replaced with the E-Coupe.

Yes, that makes sense. It's more of a realignment with competitive class demarcation, to compete.
Today's C-class coupe (W205) competes with the 4-series and A5/S5, while the E-coupés (C207) compete w/ the 6'er. The SL series has no direct competitor, though one could argue that the 6-series services that niche somewhat.

That is actually not a C Class at all. Far from it actually. That thing is supposed to compete with the Rolls Royce Wraith.

It so damn long. It would be killer if they made it about the length of and F-type. Maybe even Mustang length.

Its also called "6". Mercedes Maybach 6.

My comments were in reference to Mercedes' model-naming conventions, and I was using the C-class for example purposes.

The Maybach is is definitely not in the C-class league :)
