The finish on the steering wheel is coming off where I grab it everyday. Also the black is coming off one of the audio controls on the right of the steering wheel. I can see green light through it at night. Is this something that is covered in the bumper to bumper warranty or something I will have to live with. The car is not quite 2 years old and has 25,000 miles.

I bought a used 2010 mustang that had wear on the steering wheel buttons. They were covered on the bumper to bumper warranty.

I had the same issue with the steering wheel leather peeling.

1st time Ford replaced in under warranty, but the problem came back agin and this time it was denied.

Funny thing its the top of the steering wheel peeling and i don't hold the wheel there. Might be from the sun and then it just flakes off.

So its a crap crap shot with Ford, good luck.

I'm in Houston and you can have my base wheel if you ever make it down here. I just upgraded to the GT350 wheel, so I don't have the buttons or airbag. Just the wheel. It's in good shape though.

Got mine inspected at the dealership today at noon . Service manager took pics & sent them to Ford Canada for approval .
Dealer confirmed this afternoon that a replacement was approved under warranty by Ford Canada. New wheel ordered and I plan to get it installed during my next service visit in April .
