TPMS on Base R ???

I assumed all vehicles are required to have these systems (in US since 2008). I was just checking the build status of my 17R (in production) and saw a note on the config sheet on Etis that my car has had TPMS deleted. Is that true? On a track car, that system is particularly comforting.

Anyone know for sure if base Rs do NOT get TPMS?
