so if we have the BMR alum diff bushing and IRS delrin bushings and the hardware sent from BMR, we need this hardware to ensure even more durability??

Are you referring to BK050 Diff Bushings?

Ah, I see. So replace the two bolts with one single bolt like you have in the specs.

I am just throwing stuff out there to help the community.

That's all.

I plan to do the through bolt front set-up in mine.

Works for me. I need to climb under and check mine out and see what I see. If I see any signs of serious deflection I may try it out.

It is not. This is specifically for stock bushings....or any kits that have upgraded components that fit the stock bushings.

SOLID DIFF BUSHINGS - BEST SOLUTION

Here are pictures of what is the absolute, hands down best solution.

This is a 100% Solid Billet Bushing that is pressed into the IRS Subframe.

The Diff fits very snug into this arrangement, and removes the ability for the differential to move under loads. Since this system makes the diff rigid mounted, it does not put much load on the bolts.

The primary issue most have with this system is the NVH. It is very significant.

Ok sweet, I love the BK050 and BK048 kit I have on, to me the NVH is barely there. But then again I have Kooks LTH, Corsa Extreme, Whipple ETC and none of that bothers me.

Phew, glad I dont have to tinker with the diff stuff anymore ahaha

The BK050 is awesome. I know I will never shear a diff bolt again so it gives me a lot of confidence to give the car hell. There's little vibration; mostly noise. Well worth the peace of mind. Besides, dropping the cradle once for a sheared diff bolt was bad enough.

You are far from alone, hence me making this thread.

It is very unfortunate for people who have bolts shear/break on their new cars.

Unfortunately, the only REAL solution that I can say is 100% over the past 2+years is a solid bushing.

That said, I have been busting my ass to test new ideas and figure out EXACTLY what is going on within the diff mount system. Steeda has also recognized the issue, as they have come out with a 12.9 bolt upgrade kit.

Kelly, for the front through bolts, what direction would the bolts go in? Would you insert from the front by the gas tank or through the rear on the front ears of the diff? Just wondering if it makes a difference what side you tighten down the lock nut on. Also would use the lock washers that come with the BK 051 kit?

Either direction places the shear on the shank.

It really does not matter.

I am going to run mine in from the gas tank towards the rear of the car. My reason is because, I don't want to remove my halfshafts. ;)

No, you would not use the lock washers. Only the hardware as I pictured above on the 9/16" bolt.
