There was something on my dashand I only used a microfiber towel and water to try to get it up. It was part of a sticker that landed in my dash and baked in the heat. I got it up, but the area is just a little bit duller than the balance of the dash. Looks like I may have scrubbed of a protective coating

Anyone have any thoughts on a good product to even out the finish on the dash?

Thank you so much in advance!

I don't think the dash has a "protective coating". The discoloration is due to a chemical reaction from the sticker residue. I'd just slop more protectant over that spot when detailing the dash with a product like Meguire's Natural Shine

Maybe hit it with some all purpose cleaner then follow up with your preferred dash cleaner/ dressing.
